Eggplant... prizewinning eggplants

Finally, I had an opportunity to create another video. This one was a bit long so I had to edit it so YouTube would accept it. So, I'm hoping you have eggplant to experiment with this late in the season.
Today was a beautiful day... There was no wind and a light foggy mist coming off the the river as the sun rose this morning. The laundry has been outdoors soaking up the sun and will smell divine in my closet this week.
I heard the deer crossing the water this morning. Boy, the river is high - high enough for boaters to cut across our sandbar. There goes the neighborhood. There are hunters taking shots at geese before the sun rises and after the sun sets. It's a bit unnerving to be hanging out laundry with gunshots in the background. The farmer is working on his corn crop next to the house. Thank goodness for small favors, like no wind to blow the dust our direction.
I cleaned the bathrooms and bedroom this week. I'm waiting until I absolutely have finished all my canning and freezing to clean the kitchen floor... that's where most of the action has been lately.
YUMMY. Tonight we are going to have some of our beef from Wagner's farm near Oakes with carrots and potatoes and squash from the garden. We are working on the carrot cake I made Monday evening. I didn't have cream cheese so I put browned butter frosting on it... It just keep getting tastier every day.
Tomorrow I will post those photos of our carrots. One photo for sure will make you chuckle. In the meantime here we go... perhaps I do a video of the world's easiest bread recipe using kamut or another organic flour from Harvey.
