Old moon in the new moon's arms

Once again the moon rose this morning about 7 a.m. and in its arms carried the old moon.
And again, the weather is mild so standing outdoors in barefeet on the concrete for 25 seconds per photograph wasn't too bad.
It's so very nice out I cannot imagine how we are going to adapt to winter once it finally comes.
However, without snow, we won't have water to continue filling the lake and ultimately the river. The water has encroached upon our sandbar to the point that it reflects light into the house in the early morning that it didn't in prior years. Sweet. I like the water.
Well, glory be, it's been a busy year. Next weekend, Nov. 13, Adam and Kelsey are getting married. It proves to be a wonderful event. A good German wedding complete with a roast beef dinner. YUMMMMMY. I can't wait. I have a dress and new shoes and didn't have to do too much with the planning except write an occasional check. So much fun.
I'm sure there will be photos to share and maybe we can post the video to Youtube... after the event. In the meantime, get outside and watch the stars.... they are glorious these days without competition from the moon...
