I cannot believe it is November today. The weather has provided us a reprieve from winter for a little while. Of course, last November was very pleasant indeed.
It is all-saints day today. I used to think one had to attain great virtue to be a saint. In our church, saints are sinners that are trying their best to follow Jesus' teachings about love, faith, charity and hope to name a few. It put a new perspective on me, to be called an earthly saint. No longer do I have to "be perfect" in all that I do. No, it's not an excuse to behave badly and then ask for forgiveness, it's something to strive for, a goal and the realization that there is no perfect in this world - so let's look to the next. In the meantime, we only have today, so I'm wishing you a blessed Nov. 1.
