You know, it's a good thing that we have our memories. The music playing at the lodge is all oldies, you know, from the '70s...
It is so wonderful that music brings back memories. Strange thing though, as we go through life, it seems our minds can recall things we hardly stop to think about anymore. Everything we did, or places we visited or experiences we had from the time we were born are stored in our memories. Our bodies age from that point on also. The effects of weaving all though years, well, I'm just now feeling some of that in my elbows. We are having a great time skiing, but holy cow, we are a wee bit stiff in the morning... Of course, we will be doing our fourth day on the mountain tomorrow - so we are going at it a bit hard.
I'm looking forward to Easter. I love Easter. We are going to my mom's and the children will be there and we are going to have cake bits from Ooh Claire's. I can't wait.
So, here's my thinking today. We cannot deny the memories of our past days on earth. We cannot deny the degradation of our bodies on this earth. So how can we deny that we - our minds, our souls - are meant to be with Christ in heaven? I felt it on the mountain - the feeling of eternity and how much more beautiful this earth will be when Jesus returns to claim his kingdom. I feel bad about the things that I will have to be held accountable for... I'm trying really I am. With Easter's promise, there is hope for me and you - you gotta quit denying it.
