Where's Claire

Claire has been gone since Monday and I'm wondering what's she's doing? It's different than when I didn't hear from her for days because I knew I could call. Now, she's cut off from the rest of us and I wake up praying she is resting well. I send her strength with my thoughts. JC thinks she will be just fine. I'm sure she will. But I can't help but wonder does she still think this was a good idea?
Boot camp conjours up the most awful thoughts. I remember my cousin Tammie. She went to West Point, in the 70s when it was relatively unheard of. I don't recall that being the easiest choice in life.
The dress Claire ordered for her brother's wedding in November is here. She would be so excited to see it.
We will be so excited to see her. I'm sending you my love today Claire. Be strong, brave and don't lose your compassion for comforting people or that smile. I think Tammie said the hardest part of being at West Point was the fact they didn't want you to smile, at least until they were ready for you to.
Love you, Mom
