Only the wind remains today, the snow has stopped. Of course, in order to get anywhere, the snow will have to be removed from in front of the garage door, so I will try and stay here because we have one more Christmas dinner tomorrow.
Yesterday, we had a change of plans. Instead of traveling out of town with out 15 pounds of potato salad - not kidding, two ice cream buckets full - we turned around and went back to town. Not too many cars were driving around because you couldn't really see. Not too much was open either. We called Kathy and told her to put the coffee pot on and set the table because we had potato salad, a cranberry Jello mold and were going to find some meat. The only place besides Perkins that was open was the Chinese buffet so we loaded up four trays with every kind of chicken imaginable and had a really wonderful Christmas feast. We played a couple games, took a family photo and went home to watch a few movies and eat popcorn. WE live on popcorn. Of course, the popcorn balls are not the healthiest thing to be eating, but it is Christmas. Tomorrow, finally our children are coming to get the rest of the packages from under the tree. And, then the year begins again.
The beginning of the year has always been a time of cleaning out stuff. Since our house is so small and I have such a great many boxes of stuff, I must begin throwing something out. We are moving the sewing room to the studio and the office to the sewing room, it will be a good thing and I'm looking forward to it. We will have a camera cupboard for our camera gear and an office to drop the mail so it's not right in the hallway. At least I can hope to solve that problem. We are also considering getting rid of our land line. That would mean people who haven't called us in a long time would not be able to find us. Hey that might not be too bad. I am going to bake JC a birthday cake and we will celebrate that tomorrow also. I will also venture out and refill the bird feeders because the little sparrows, wrens, red polls and finches are vying for the thistle seed as three very fat blue jays circle above them. Maybe I'll get some photos online today..... Happy Saturday.
