This week marks the beginning of the season of Advent. Seems pretty hard to believe without any snow on the ground that Christmas is less than four weeks away. Wow. It was a beautiful day today. Before the sun came over the riverbank, the fog was gray like the dawn. A large deer, I think it was a buck was lazily making his way across the front yard, at first he appeared to be a shadow. Once the sun peeped over the horizon the frost appeared on the grass as the fog disappeared quite quickly.
It was a gorgeous day today -- a day of family and friends. We ate a wonderful meal and everyone contributed to the cause -- ummmm .... now we are winding down from a long and well-deserved weekend. Boy, next weekend is the last Pride of Dakota show and the last weekend I will have to work - at least for while. Sometime soon, I will be finished with this semester's classes and I will put up my Grinch tree... you will have to see a photo of that. I still need to do some shopping, I need to get my Christmas cards sent out and well.... pray for snow. I could take a lesson from my son who has finished his Christmas shopping already. Wow?
