It rained 1.5 inches overnight. It was beautiful. However, there go any plans to do gardening today. I'm so excited to be able to begin planting. I have lots of little seedlings, emphasis on the little, but oh well. I have never not had tons of vegetables. Last year was the first year in nearly all my life that I was unable to garden. Now, with my little slice of heaven and a few seeds, I can once again grow my own.
It's nice to have a long weekend without the threat of the newspaper hanging over my head, but I do miss the business. There's something admirable about reporting the news and I miss the photography.
Now, I'm going to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the sound of the birds, music to my ears.
