It's Christmas and that means time to break out the one Christmas outfit I have saved for services on Christmas Eve. This is its third year, but that's okay, we are all of the age that we don't remember what everyone wears a year ago on Christmas.
However, this year I decided to break out my favorite Christmas earrings - the green wooden painted Christmas trees. Rather large trees at that. But that's okay.
So far, no one has commented out loud as to the "look" of these earrings which are not my usual style. Normally I wouldn't wear jewelry like this, but these are very special earrings and I will keep them forever. If someone were to ask about them, I would gladly tell them my son gave them to me when he was about 10 or 11 years old. That's why I wear them. That's why they are special - and that's why I'm reminding you to NOT judge a woman's jewelry - it could be someone's earrings are worth more than all the gold, pearl, silver, and diamonds in the world... Hope you received some of the best presents in your stockings this year - cherished memories, good cheer, health, a neighbor with a snow blower and someone to help you out of a snow bank.... much love today as the sun finally gives us the give of warmth and light.
